The Mitton Estate Near Tewkesbury on the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire Borders - Auction Sale Particulars and Plans 1937
London, Gregory Rowcliffe & Co. 1937, 1st Edition (as such). Folded to Folio, Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Auction Catalogue 1937 Mitton Estate Tewkesbury Gloucestershire Worcestershire - to be auctioned by Jackson Stops and to include gardens, lands, and the Mitton House near Tewkesbury, belonging to the Croome Estate, on 26 April 1937. The sale was held at the Hop Pole Hotel in Tewkesbury. The catalogue includes 4 original photos tipped in to show some of the lots. 7 lots; large coloured folding map of the estate (20"x19" - 51x48cm) - see scans.There are some underlinings, and the agreement at the back has been filled in ink because the owner of this bought lot one (The Mitton House) and lot three (the valuable enclosures of meadow land) - for a total of six thousand pounds. Also handwritten "specific conditions of sale and typewritten key to acreage on the Woolstone Estate and detail of land use changes dated 1943. Intersting collection worthy of research. Good condition but green covers grubby and some toning and the correspondence creased and worn and tatty at the edges. See scans. Good +/No Jacket.
