A large part of the report is devoted to salmon fisheries in Scotland Evidence was submitted on the salmon fisheries of the Tweed, Tay, Earne, Esk, Firth of Forth, Solway and Moray Firths. The different modes of salmon fishing, pollution, close-times, local acts of parliaments regulating the salmon fishery and the enforcement of the law were all examined. Evidence from John Wilson (Berwick), James & William Bell, John Halliday, Stewart Shepherd, James Gillies & Thomas Proudfoot (report on condition of the Tay), John Johnstone (a fisherman at Balmerino near Dundee, Includes report by Sir Humphrey Davey . Parliamentary Papers of this period are rare. It was not until 1836 that provision was made for their sale to the public.

¶ A history of the a Roman Catholic Benedictine monastery near Elgin in Scotland from its foundation to the re-establishment of the community in 1948. Originally founded in 1230 by Alexander III of Scotland for the Valliscaulian Order, the builidings became ruinous after the dissolution, but Benedictines from Prinknash came back to the site & the buildings were restored. It became an Abbey in 1974.
