DONALDSON, GEORGE
Reminiscences of Haywood
Hamilton Scotland, The Hamilton Advertiser. 1935, 1st Edition. Original Green Card Cover, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 63p; illustrated. A very detailed history of this fleeting village in Southern Lanarkshire. Its first buildings were erected in 1858 and it was so reduced that in 1934 a reunion was held. Its existence was down to coal mining. Many names mentioned in gossipy detail - for example refernce to an evening of stage hypnosis in the village when three named individuals were clearly humilaited. Signs of usage with light soiling of the green light card cover and some damge to spine ends. But rare and interesting. See scans and email for more. Good.
