Anecdotes Of The Right Honourable W.E. Gladstone By An Oxford Man
Joseph Toulson & Hamilton, Adams, & Co, UK. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Undated but the previous owner's inscription is dated 1888 and Copac show it as [1887]. 'Many of the Anecdotes were gleaned in and around Hawarden, a Welsh village, in the county of Flint, from the villagers themselves, who never weary of telling of their familiar interviews with Mr Gladstone. The rest have been collected from many sources.' Book - in Very Good blue pictorial boards - light marking to the boards and some sunning to the spine but the lettering remains bright, a touch rubbed to the extreme corners and light bumping to the extreme ends of the spine. Contents, some browning to the rear paste down and front and rear free end paper, light marking to the occasional page otherwise clean and tightly bound. Size: 7.25 inches tall by 4.75 inches.
